According from the short interesting story by Roald Dahl. In my opinion the genre was fantasy. The main character is Mr. Weaver and the Landlady. Mr. Weaver is 17 years old and Landlady was 45 – 50 years old (from the appearance glance of Weaver). In my understanding, I Think Landlady is either Human or not human because the way she trying to attract Weaver for staying at that house is very unusual and creepy when he was intending to left the house for survey at The Bell and Dragon. She wants he staying at that house either want to make Weaver another victims or manipulated he with some spells that all human stay at the house cannot going out after they sign the registration book. The first reason why she did it because of the human who are enter that house couldn’t go out and will be her friend for her as her company. Secondly, maybe before this she has a tragic history with her son who age around seventeen to twenty-eight years’ old who have left her without any news and words. Lastly, she was alone all of year and need someone or attention that make people recognize she was live at that house because she wax or doing something with her pets to look like they are alive and perfectly preserved.
