Based on the story by Roald Dahl. Patrick and Mary was a marriage couple that was expecting a child. His wife was housewife and pregnant, while he is a detective. Patrick has tragic news for her wife Mary. After he take a glass of drink as usual, but this time he adds another strong drink for he can have more confident to say that he will divorce his wife while his wife pregnant.
Her husband didn’t say it directly to her but from the words he points to Mary was getting divorce. She is too shock or too disappointed, until she was slightly feels like she not listening any word from him because she acts like noting happen. Because she always feels she had very happy and beautiful
marriage and cannot faced the fact that her husband is going to divorce her. She acts as usual, prepared for her husband a lamb for supper even her husband says no need to prepared it.
The statement from her husband make she feel very disappointed even she try to suggest supper for her husband that can give change or chance for their marriage, but her husband still reject her kindness. Without her realizing, she used a freezing lamb leg to hit back of her husband head with both hand. After her husband collapsed on the floor, she very shock and realized her action toward her husband. The reality is she have killed her husband and she have to think what she can do to hide her guilty.
